Eyelash extensions - YAY or NAY
Since eyelashes are the most important eye feature, let me talk to you a bit about a beauty trend everyone has been buzzing about; aka the new eyelash lengthening tool. Some people confuse fake eyelashes with eyelash extensions, so here's everything you need to know about the eyelash extensions.
Eyelash extensions are a revolutionary introduction to the beauty and make-up world. It's basically a hair-to-hair application that is bonded to your eyelashes which adds length, thickness and volume to them without looking fake. Eyelash extensions match everyone at any age. You might not even need to apply mascara if you have them on. It's semi-permanent as it lasts for approximately 4-6 weeks.
Who doesn't desire full appealing eyelashes? This beauty phenomena was spotted on many celebrities, as they became more and more popular nowadays! They're made of nylon synthetic hairs that stick to your eyelashes and drastically change your look.
It's a one at a time process. The beautician will use needle-tweezers to apply lashes individually after being dipped in a glue, one by one. During the process of applying the eyelash extensions, the beautician must make sure your new eyelashes are not sticky or glued together. You might also need to trim the extensions so they can match the texture and the length of your natural lash volume.
Eyelash extensions can be a very safe process, yet it can turn out to be disastrous if it's not applied well. Playing with your eyes can be risky sometimes, my personal advice is opt for a professional make-up artist or a reputable beauty salon. We don't want to scare you off, but keep in mind that if the glue is not applied correctly, you can be subject to permanent damage!
If your eyelashes are very curly like mine, you have to think twice before applying those extensions. I personally wouldn't go for the eyelash extensions as curly eyelashes can be easily flattered with good mascara.
DON'T rub your eyes frequently after applying the extensions.
DO take a toothpick and comb through your lashes. If the toothpick gets stuck, you have incorrectly glued lashes.
DON'T go for sauna or anything that can subject your eyelashes to heat 48 hours after applying the eyelashes extensions. Protect them from moisture.
DO pick eyelash extensions that are as thick as your natural eyelash, so they don't look absolutely heavy and unprofessional.
DON'T apply too much mascara with your eyelash extensions so they don't turn out to be chunky and messy. This can also damage the extension or make them fall.
The best eyelash extensions are the ones that look incredibly natural and real. Make sure you pick eyelash extensions that enhance your curls and makes your eyelashes look fuller for extra glam!
