Looking in the mirror today morning, I witnessed one dark spot on my left cheek. Instead of freaking out, I decided to do a research and write more about this phenomena. Dark spots appear in the form of tiny or big brown patches that appear on areas that are mostly exposed to the sun. Surprisingly, your menstrual cycle, pregnancy period, stress and an unhealthy diet are the main reasons behind dark spots on your skin. You don't need to spend a fortune on whitening beauty products, the solution can be right at your kitchen, so here's how to get rid of dark spots naturally...
1. Lemon Juice
Lemon is known to be one the best beauty products that comes from nature. Not only does it whiten your dark spots, but also it softens the affected areas. Add a few drops of lemon juice on a piece of cotton then pat it on your skin. Do this constantly for three weeks and watch them fade away.
2. Yogurt
Get off your chair. Head to your fridge, get a cup of yogurt and apply it on your face. Yes, that simple! Yogurt contains bacteria that has lactic acid which prevents your skin from aging and cures sunburn too. Follow the remedy of applying plain yogurt on your skin for 20 minutes at least two times a week.
3. Apple Vinegar
Apple Vinegar is highly recommended for skin whitening. This is one of the kitchen goodies that can do wonders to your skin. Apply a few drops of apple vinegar on a cotton ball and place it on the dark areas. Leave this detoxifying material for 10 minutes then rinse your face with warm water. It's definitely one of the easiest recipes.
4. Watermelon
Ever thought that watermelon rinds could be beneficial? Instead of throwing them away, try cutting them in tiny slices and rub your dark spots with them. It will improve the circulation and will make your skin firmer. Watermelon rinds are rich with vitamins A, B and C. Don't let this precious food go to waste!
