I have to say, I was truly impressed by the 70’s vibe that was truly visible in the arena where Dior's Spring 2015 Haute Couture fashion show took place. Everything from the set up to the little details truly made the 70’s vibe come to life. From color-blocking to sequined jumpsuits, just throw in a disco ball and all these models are ready to get their groove on. The cut-out trend is definitely here to stay, and it is no longer about showing skin, but about mastering the art of layering.
From full skirts to full dresses, the designs at Dior's Spring 2015 Haute Couture collection reminded me of Dior's iconic designs from the 1950’s, when 'New Look' was launched. I highly predict that one of these dresses will make their way onto the red carpet events this awards season. That’s the trick behind the ‘New Look,’ it is timeless and suitable for any time.
Personally, I would have loved to see the looks without the pairing of latex knee-high boots with the outfits. In fact, the ankle boots that were paired with short floral and sequined pieces were more appealing. Take a look at the colorful explosion that took place at Dior’s Spring 2015 haute couture collection and go back to the 70’s.
