Fustany Peeks Into Boho Gallery
I have a thing for colored doors, and that was the first thing I spotted as I reached Boho Gallery; its inviting turquoise front door. It was the first time for me to visit Boho Gallery, so as I stepped in, I automatically turned my head around, checking what this boutique was all about. I felt like a kid entering a candy store, not knowing from where to start. I could see racks and shelves of clothes, statement jewelry, shoes, bags, home accessories, and other odds and ends. Everything just looked so colorful, summery, and fresh. Before exploring Boho Gallery's collection, I sat briefly with its owner, the young Lina Maklad, who truly reflects the essence of her pretty little boutique, that has been operating for more than three years now.
What started as a space that housed 10 local designers, is now a place that holds collections for more than 50 designers and labels. You could find an eclectic mix of casual and party wear at Boho Gallery, from cool statement t-shirts that are trending nowadays, to those tutu skirts that have been on your wishlist since you saw your favorite street style star wearing one. The cool thing about the boutique, is that you can shop a whole outfit while you're there, I mean if you want to shop for your summer weekend look, you'll find bikinis, coverups, sundresses, beach hats, flip flops, sunglasses, etc. Get my point? Among my favorite pieces were a floral cocktail dress by Plush by Ahmed Saedi that will be perfect for wedding season, a statement t-shirt by Nada Akram that said "Cairo Diva," and a bean bag that had an Audrey Hepburn print on it by Wind Graphic. Boho Gallery also showcases the L.MAK collection, which Maklad designs herself, inspired by current fashion trends and frenzies.
Since Ramadan is coming up, and you need to get your home ready for all the gatherings you'll be hosting, Boho Gallery has you covered. You'll find trays, mugs, glasses, towels, cushions and poufs that will add the perfect Ramadan vibes to your home. P.S. These items also make great gifts if you're heading to your family or friend's house for Iftar or Sohour, I'd recommend you select a couple of things and create a Ramadan hamper, for a thoughtful and useful gift idea.
So to sum things up, Boho Gallery is a boutique that's worth visiting, I for one know that I'll be going back there soon to check their latest. But for now, check out some of our favorite picks and get inspired by the outfits we've created while browsing their collections.
