An array of black took over Herve Leger's Spring/Summer 2014 collection at New York Fashion Week. After watching a few shows I was under the impression most of the designers were embracing vibrant colors, but Herve Leger introduced the color blocking and the dark colors with his new Spring/Summer 2014 collection. So this line is for the edgy provocative woman, the one who walks with three men behind her! The woman, who is more than ready to flaunt what she's got and make one hell of a statement.
Trends spotted at Herve Leger Spring/Summer 2014 collection:
1. Leather
2. Studs
3. Fringes
4. Barrack and Monochrome combined to make an awesome combination.
5. Wide Leather Belts
6. The Cropped Trend
Best thing about Herve Leger Spring/Summer 2014 collection?
The sophistication to his edginess. The amount of edge in the Herve Leger Spring/Summer 2014 collection isn't all about the punk rock theme. It includes simple skirts transformed into cutting edge. Dresses you can wear to work night meetings, showing off your exquisite professionalism, yet incorporating your style somehow. I simply love the barrack/monochrome trend with the ruffled belt; it is genius.
Worst thing about it?
The only negative thing I can think of about Herve Leger's Spring/Summer 2014 collection is that a lot of his pieces are not timeless. Once the punk/leather trend ends, most of these pieces will take a place at the back of your closet. Note, invest in his timeless pieces, they are perfection.
