Oscar de la Renta Pre Fall 2013
Oscar de la Renta can always be noted for his timeless sartorial glamor and for his Pre Fall 2013 collection, I must say that he did not disappoint. With a retro vibe that can be felt throughout the collection, the looks sent down the runway were diverse consisting of day-wear and party-wear. The lineup of models started with ladylike day looks, skirts, jackets and high-waist pants in pale blues and pinks mixed with tweeds and printed silk. I noticed that most of the looks were styled with patterned black tights and that also emerald green which was just announced as Pantone's color of 2013 was showcased in several ensembles. Moving on to the luxe part of the show, the evening-wear looks, with a range of gowns that flatter the feminine figure, something that Oscar is known for. With sequins, feathers and taffeta, most of the dresses are just ready to be worn on the red carpet! My favorite outfits included the polka dot peplum top paired with matching polka dot shoes, the strapless peach gown accessorized with the red clutch and the silver beaded fringe gown that sways with movement.
