Oatmeal: Your Ticket to a Healthy Body and Lifestyle
A couple of months ago, a friend introduced me to the world of oatmeal when I suffered from a minor indigestion problem. And since then, I’ve become obsessed with oats, and have been reading endless articles about the benefits of oats and what it can do to your body. With no surprise, I discovered that oatmeal is my ticket to a healthy body and lifestyle. Want to know why? Here are five reasons that will make you eat oats every single day.
1. Oatmeal and digestion.
Oats are full of fibers, so when you eat oats you are helping your bowel to keep moving. Oats contain something called insoluble fiber, this kind of fiber acts like a broom; it sweeps off every corner of your digestive system leaving you feeling great. It also contains soluble fibers, these fibers turn into gel with the help of water, which helps your body digest all the healthy nutrients and vitamins contained in your food.
2. Oatmeal and weight loss.
In order to lose weight, you need to make changes in your whole lifestyle, but what can really help you do so? Oatmeal helps you feel full for a good amount of time. But be careful, if you’re trying to lose weight, avoid using a flavored packed oatmeal, try using a plain and cooked one, you’ll consume less calories and enjoy an even healthier meal.
3. Oatmeal and energy.
Oatmeal contains carbs, but carbs aren’t always a bad thing. You actually need crabs to give you an energy boost, to be able to exercise and have energy to perform daily simple tasks.
4. Oatmeal and heart health.
Did you know that oats are one of the foods that can help you reduce heart disease risks? Well, oats are full of Omega-3 fatty acids that work on lowering cholesterol in the bloodstream, which eventually reflects on your heart health.
5. Oatmeal and cancer.
Oats are rich in lignans, this component apparently protects your body from breast cancer and other hormonal-dependent cancers, and also protects you from heart disease.
