There comes a point during summer, where you get the perfect tan, and you need to figure out how to highlight your tan with makeup. To avoid any makeup faux pas, and to actually make your skin look more radiant, follow these tips to know how to highlight your tan with makeup.

Lipstick:

When you get a tan, your skin gets darker. So try to avoid bright shades of lipstick. Instead, you can wear nude lipstick that matches your skin tone, or a shade of rose or coral lipstick.

Eyeshadow:

Pastel and gold eyeshadows are made for tanned skin; they make your eyes look dreamy. Avoid dark colors, because you just want to highlight your tan with makeup. To add a sexy look to your eyes, you can accentuate your eyes with a brown eyeshadow, just to make them look bigger.

Mascara:

You can wear mascara as much as you want; long, thick lashes are the secret to beautiful and feminine eyes.

Eyeliner:

I personally don’t prefer eyeliner when you’re going for a simple natural look. So if you really want to, you can add a very thin line above your eye lashes. It will give the illusion that your eyelashes are thick.

Foundation and concealer:

When it comes to highlighting your tan with makeup, you can actually skip the foundation and concealer. You just got a tan, so enjoy the natural color of your skin. However, if you feel that you need to cover any pimples or acne scars, you can use just a tiny dab of concealer, but not all over your face. You can also use a tinted moisturizer for a subtle makeup base.

Blusher:

To finish off highlighting your face with makeup, make sure to use warm shades of pink or orange blusher. For the perfect sun-kissed glow, apply gold shimmering blusher on your cheekbones.
