Honestly, I was expecting to see more Arab designers dressing up celebrities on the red carpet this year and most certainly a lot more from Elie Saab, Reem Acra and Zuhair Murad. Having said that, let's show off some of the work spotted by the Arab fashion designers during the 2014 Golden Globes. Here's what I loved and disliked about these gowns:
Kate Beckinsale in Zuhair Murad: It's one of the most glamorous dresses the red carpet of the 2014 Golden Globes has witnessed, not to mention it looks perfect on her.
Robin Wright in Reem Acra: A little too simple for my taste, but at least it's not ugly...
Zosia Mamet in Reem Acra: This season I'm in love with the light colors celebrities are wearing on the red carpet worldwide; especially whites and cremes. This Reem Acra dress is a great fit for Zosia Mamet as the flower patterns give off the illusion of a smaller waist and all in all it looks really good on her.
Taissa Farmiga in Elie Saab: We all expected more from the brilliant designer, but in all fairness, the dress looks really cute. It's something I'd see myself wearing and loving.
Kaley Cuoco in Rani Zakhem: Another statement piece on the red carpet; from the cut to the pattern, it's just wonderful!
Sarah Hyland in Georges Hobeika: The color of the dress definitely stands out more than the design itself, but it looks good on Sarah Hyland and that's all what matters.
Raya Abirached in Tony Ward: I loved the details on the tail, the gown looks glamorous, but lighter colors fit Raya Abirached more.
