The Best Dressed at the 2014 Golden Globes
Golden Globes means two things, a night packed with stylish celebrities and a couple of not so great looks, not to mention lack of sleep due to the time difference, but so what? I've got my Red Bull and I'm ready to roll.
Let's start off with the most stylish and best dressed celebrities at the 2014 Golden Globes:
Helen Mirren in Jenny Packham
She knows how to dress perfectly for her age and to be honest she's a great role model proving you can look at your best regardless of that number. Helen Mirren sported a gorgeous green embellished Jenny Packham gown to the 2014 Golden Globes with drapery on the side.
Taylor Swift in Carolina Herrera
Taylor Swift made an entrance with a fabulous and super elegant Carolina Herrera gown and it looked amazing on her. Whether it's the cut, the fabric of the dress, combination of colors, how she styled her hair; the list can go on and on.
Emma Watson in a Dior Ensemble
Where do I even begin? I really like how rebellious Emma Watson is and she carries that with style wherever she goes. Therefore it didn't come as a surprise to me when she was seen wearing a Dior ensemble to the 2014 Golden Globes. It's different, flatters her body, has a cool haute couture vibe to it and no one can ever say she looked boring. If you take a look from the front, you'll think it's a nice simple dress, but if you take another look to the back you'll notice the twist. Just brilliant!
Sofia Vergara in Zac Posen
Sofia's choices have been mostly great and when she rocked a black Zac Posen gown to the 2014 Golden Globes she did it with style. Her Zac Posen gown is breath-taking, that's all I can say! The light blue statement necklace combined with the black gown was also a great choice Sofia, hats off.
Cate Blanchett in Armani
Cate Blanchett never ceases to amaze me! She knows what looks good on her and what's appropriate for her age and that's something many celebrities don't seem to understand. She looked ravishing in Armani at the 2014 Golden Globes, the gown that had endless beautiful details and in a way reminded me of a beautiful art piece, especially the part around the neck.
Kaley Cuoco in Rani Zakhem
Although not everyone was on the same page when it came to Kaley Cuoco's dress by Rani Zakhem, but honestly it's just gorgeous. It has a modern princess-like vibe to it, with a corset inspired top and a nice flattering A-line skirt not to mention a very springy pattern. What's not to love about Rani Zakhem's design?
Naomi Watts in Tom Ford
It might not be one of my favorite dresses spotted on the red carpet of the 2014 Golden Globes, but it certainly suits Naomi Watts a lot and she wore it elegantly. The shimmery color of the Tom Ford gown along with the embellished neckline were a good choice!
Michelle Dockery in Oscar de la Renta
Where to even begin? Michelle Dockery's gown by Oscar de la Renta is a living proof why he's a brilliant designer. A simple cut with a twist, just about the right amount of bling, elegant and has a royal feel to it. That's a dress I would definitely want to wear...
Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta
No one can deny that Zooey Deschanel gives off a fun, quirky yet feminine vibe. The Oscar de la Renta design she wore makes me feel happy just looking at it. But in all fairness, she should have gone for something a bit more colorful, as these light shades might be a bit too ordinary for the New Girl we all know and love.
Lupita Nyongo in Ralph Lauren
She's quite the stunner! As soon as Lupita Nyongo hit the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globes, her picture went viral (yes, it was trending more than the rest) and I could see why. Her Ralph Lauren dress has so many wonderful elements to it. Simplicity is essential for Ralph Lauren, yet with the cape-inspired red gown, Lupita definitely made one of the strongest statements.
