Stella McCartney Designs a Mastectomy Bra for Breast Cancer Fighters
It's very empowering seeing fashion designers support breast cancer fighters positively. We've seen a lot of examples, and the latest is Stella McCartney, who launched a mastectomy bra for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Stella McCartney's mastectomy bra is called the "Linda Listening," and it has a very inspiring story behind it. It is named after Stella McCartney's mother "Linda Louise McCartney," who passed away in 2008, after a three-years battle with breast cancer.
In honor of her late mother and in order to raise awareness of breast cancer, McCartney designed a bra for women who have undergone a double-mastectomy. She made sure the design was feminine, and would help the breast cancer fighters feel comfortable and pretty wearing the Stella McCartney Louise Listening bra. Also, all of its proceeds will be going to breast cancer charities.
