This Balmain Fall 2015 collection at Paris Fashion Week is a true throwback to the eighties! The jewel-toned colors, geometric prints, stripes, fringes and flared pants were such a refreshing representation of a certain fashion era. The colors were no where near flat or simple, as they were warm and rich at the same time.
Of course, Olivier Rousteing, the Creative Director of Balmain, made sure to flatter the models' bodies with waist belts, even over the jackets. When it comes to the styling, I must say that the jackets draped on the models' shoulders gave them a luxurious look and an edgy attitude. Olivier also gave the pieces lots of energy, as he used lots of velvet and lace fabrics. Pleated garments, shimmery and color blocking outfits also counted as the most outstanding trends at Balmain's Fall 2014 fashion show.
