Anniesa Hasibuan decided it was time to diversify what’s offered in the international fashion scene, and she didn’t disappoint. Models walked down Anniesa Hasibuan’s runway, at New York Fashion Week's Spring/Summer 2017 edition, in modest clothing from head-to-toe, or as some call it Hijab fashion, and let us tell you this, they were uber stylish. The Indonesian designer showcased shimmery pieces, metallics, and combined them with hues of grey, at times pastels and earthy tones, not to mention funky accessories. There was something in Anniesa Hasibuan’s collection at New York Fashion Week for every modern woman out there, and the pieces were inspired by her hometown.

Our favorite bit about Anniesa Hasibuan taking Hijab fashion to New York Fashion Week is the statement it created; making sure the industry clearly understands that women who prefer modest fashion shouldn’t be forgotten, as they actually present quite a large number. On top of that, it was done the right and elegant way.
