Another stunning and beautiful collection by Monique Lhuillier hits the runway of New York Fashion Week. Monique Lhuillier shows us the true meaning of elegance and grace with her exquisite Spring/Summer 2014 collection. How I see it, her line is for the dainty woman, the woman who was asked out on a fancy date and has the intention to truly wow her man. Think Carrie Bradshaw strutting down the streets of New York on her way to meet Mr.Big.
Trends spotted at the Monique Lhuillier Spring/Summer 2014 collection:
1. Vibrant Colors
2. Flowy is the new slim fit!
3. Pastels
4. Lace
5. Floral Prints
Best thing about Monique Lhuillier Spring/Summer 2014 collection?
I loved how diverse she went with her line showing long and short dresses, skirts, jumpsuits etc. That way every woman can pick one of her ensembles that suits her style and body shape the most. She also played around with the vibrant and pastel colors, giving women the option to pick the perfect shade for their skin tone.
Worst thing about it?
Though the dresses were superb, little attention if not any was paid to the hairstyle. Only one hairstyle was constant throughout the entire show. While it worked for may ensembles, it didn't for others! A Monique Lhuillier customer envisions herself in the dress with their hair, makeup and everything really. I would have liked to see a few summery waves, or even a messy bun here and there.
