We've always known Coach for their handbags, however, this season the American luxury leather goods label have officially set their foot at New York fashion week to present their first ever ready-to-wear collection. Actually I was so excited to see how would the Coach Fall/Winter 2014 collection turn out to be, so here are five things to know about it:
1. The Coach Fall/Winter 2014 collection was inspired by American iconography from the 70s and 80s, which is why there two enlarged Joel Sternfeld photographs as a backdrop during the show.
2. Outerwear was the focus of the collection, with over-sized hounds-tooth printed coats and leather anoraks.
3. Models wore shearling-lined booties, which surely kept their feet warmed up!
4. Although the handbags had some iconic Coach details, such as their turn-lock, you could sense a new edgier approach with their designs.
5. The Coach Fall/Winter 2014 collection is expected to hit stores in September, so if you liked it, then you'll have to wait for some time until you can get your hands on your favorite pieces.
