Slouchy Monochrome at Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2014
Before focusing on anything that has to do with the Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2014 collection at New York Fashion Week, I couldn't help but notice who was sitting front row... No other than hubby David Beckham and the adorable Harper sitting on his lap. Sigh! Now moving on to the show itself, Ms. Beckham proved that she has stepped up her game with her Spring/Summer 2014 collection at New York Fashion Week. Victoria Beckham hasn't steered away from her signature style, in fact you could picture her wearing each and every piece of the collection. The silhouettes were slouchy, sleek and minimalistic, with black and white dominating the looks along with pops of fuchsia and dark red.
Trends spotted at the Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2014 collection:
1. Geometric Prints
2. Masculine Tailoring
Best thing about the Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2014 collection?
I'm inclined to say that seeing David Beckham and Harper front row was the best thing about the show. However, I have to actually mention something about the pieces, so I would say that it's a very wearable collection. Also, it was nice to see Victoria Beckham experimenting with different volumes, more slouchy, less clingy, yet still crisp with an effortless aesthetic.
Worst thing about it?
Not that I'm complaining, but it's actually hard to focus the attention on the models walking on the runway with the presence of David Beckham and Harper on the best seats' front row, they just manage to steal the spotlight. On a side note that's actually related to the collection, I wasn't very fond of the Manolo Blahnik footwear, unflattering mules that were especially made for the show.
