Oscar de la Renta's Spring 2016 bridal collection designed by Peter Copping was definitely a special one, as it was his first. What struck me most, was how different this bridal collection was, yet it had the Oscar de la Renta identity with its elegant floral detailing, intricate beading, and sequined embroidery.
There was a beautiful range of silhouettes in Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2016 bridal collection, with white ball gowns, playful tea-length wedding dresses, and even a few flower girl dresses. Peter Copping had stated that he was inspired by different kinds of brides marrying in different locations around the world. So, there is really a piece for every type of bride in Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2016 bridal collection. I truly admired the different uses of fabrics used throughout this collection. Tulle, taffeta, organza, floral lace, and white silk, it was such a broad spectrum.
Suffice to say, Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2016 collection was timeless and chic, Oscar would be proud.
