Shamekh Al Bluwi, an Arab dynamic artist who can fill a sketchbook with his artistic strokes and have a masterpiece in each of its pages.

Introduce yourself.
I am Shamekh Al Bluwi, an architect, a visual artist and a fashion illustrator. I am based in Jordan, half Saudi and half Jordanian.

What inspired you to be the person you are today?
I always thought I would end up doing something related to art, started sketching and doodling at a very young age and I knew that drawing was something I wanted to pursue. My family and friends have supported me to do that and make the most out of my talent.

Define success.
Success is doing what you love.

Share with us the best piece of advice ever given to you.
Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

What motivates you?
Art in all its forms. Illustrations, paintings, films, music..etc

Tell us a common misconception that people have about what you do.
Generally, some people see fashion as superficial and they don't realize that they're all influenced by fashion one way or another since each person reflects his character through what they wear on a daily basis. I reflect my perception of fashion through my art and fashion illustrations and consider it as a visual ID, which is sometimes thought of as superficial, like why are you drawing clothes?

Mistakes are...
I think that mistakes never exist, they're there to teach us new lessons and learning experiences.

Three random things about yourself...
I am addicted to shisha, cheesecake and watching series.
I will never ever wear Crocs.
I talk to myself out loud.

You'll know you've made it when...
I get a sense of accomplishment every time I get reactions from people to my work. Compliments, messages and emails that I receive no matter from who always inspire me to take the next step.
