Getting to Know Zayan Ghandour
When we asked her to tell us more about herself, here’s what she said:
“A mum of two adorable twin girls who are growing way too fast for my
liking. Love my work because it’s also my hobby, and I love what I love
without hesitation.” Meet Zayan Ghandour, the founder and co-owner of
S*uce, co-founder of Two Scoops and recently launched her own
contemporary luxury ready-to-wear line Zayan.
Tell us more about your brand Zayan...
Like most girls, I’ve always wanted to be a fashion designer. But as head buyer of S*uce for almost 10 years I never managed to get round to it. Now that I have a great creative buying team working with me, and a great Zayan production team in place, the launch of Zayan finally became feasible. I design each collection based on whatever I’m loving and feeling at the moment, the pieces are always dangerously flirtatious and determinedly girly with lots of fun details and unexpected bursts of neon color, just like everything we’ve ever bought for S*uce! My greatest inspiration of all comes from my twin girls, with their adorable naughtiness and impeccable sense of style, especially when getting dressed up to go to a party. They are just too fabulous for words.
Walk us through a day in your life...
I wake up at 6am, school drop off, change, go to office, catch up on what needs to be done during the day between Zayan, S*uce and Two Scoops, meetings, then school pick up and lunch with the girls, then back to the office and then (should) be back home by 6 for dinner with girls and later on bed time.
