TOMS Partners Up with UNWRA to Provide Shoes for Palestinian Refugee Children

Want to hear a piece of news that will put a smile on your face? TOMS has partnered up with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, (UNRWA) to provide shoes for Palestinian refugee children. As part of the health campaign against parasites which can be contracted from bare feet, TOMS has delivered shoes and boots to thousands of refugee children in Gaza. It is always great to hear news where fashion brands are taking an extra step, and using their products to benefit those in need.

The TOMS shoes were distributed to students enrolled in the 1st and 2nd grade in UNRWA schools. The shoes were also delivered to poor villages in northern Gaza, to help those families in need that cannot afford their own.

Thanks to the partnership between TOMS and the UNWRA, hopefully no kids will be forced to walk around barefoot, and their feet can stay protected. This is the third year that TOMS has delivered shoes to thousands of refugee children in Gaza.
