Sex is almost one of the most intimate psychical connections that can occur between a man and a woman. Sex during pregnancy has always been a debatable issue; some think it's beneficial and other think it can harm the baby. Is it safe to have sex while I'm pregnant? Are there any risks? What do I need to avoid during my sexual intercourse? Here's all what you need to know about having sex during your pregnancy period. It's time to take notes ladies.

Nausea, skin puffiness, back pain and weight gain will pretty much affect your sex drive negatively. Sex during pregnancy is safe and can do wonders to a woman's body and baby bump though. The effort you put during sex will stimulate your metabolism and burn calories, which will make you relax and sleep better. Also during orgasm, blood flows through your vagina which makes your sexual desire intense, producing endorphins that reduce pain during labor. P.S. Some women reach real orgasm for the first time while having sex during pregnancy.

What do you need to consider?

- Engage in sex positions that keep you and your baby bump as comfortable as possible.

- Communicate more with your partner and let him know what you like and what you don't.

- Your breasts will be unusually sensitive and sore. Talk openly to your partner about it.

- Stay away from erotic activities while having sex during pregnancy.

When not to have sex?

- If you have experienced pervious miscarriages.

- If you experienced leakage in your fluid.

- If you have history with premature birth.

- If your vagina is irritated, bleeding or swollen.
