Pickled Cucumbers Recipe
I kind of have an addiction to picked cucumbers, once I have one, I can't seem to stop. That's why I'm sharing with you my mum's homemade recipe to make pickled cucumbers, they are my favorite! Pickled cucumbers are great to serve beside several types of sandwiches, like burgers, or hotdogs. If you're someone who loves a tangy taste after a meal, or likes to have something sour as a snack, then pickled cucumbers are a perfect choice! Here's a an easy recipe for homemade pickled cucumbers...
What you'll need:
2 Kilos cucumbers (preferably small and firm)
1 Chili pepper
3 Cups Water
1/2 Cup Vinegar
1/4 Cup Salt
2 Cloves garlic
2 Tablespoons fresh dill leaves
1. Start by washing the cucumbers and cutting off their ends. Then use the knife to make a vertical slit in each cucumber, and add them to a large jar.
2. In a large bowl, start mixing the water, vinegar, salt, crushed garlic cloves, and the dill leaves.
3. Add the mixture to the jar until it's filled to its top, then add the chili pepper.
4. Seal the jar and leave the cucumbers to set in for 3-4 days in room temperature.
