Yogurt Soup with Herbs + Beef Fajita + Cinnamon Rolls
The Soup
Yogurt Soup with Herbs Recipe
What you will need:
2 cups of yogurt
1 onion (chopped)
3 cloves of garlic (minced)
1/2 cup of fresh mint leaves (chopped)
1/2 cup of celery or coriander (chopped)
1 cup of milk
1 spoon of starch
2 spoons of oil
1 lemon squeeze
Salt & Pepper
3 cups of chicken broth
Steps:
1. Heat the oil in a small bowl, and add the garlic, onions, mint leaves and celery.
2. Add the yogurt and half the portion of chicken broth. Stir well and once the water starts to boil, lower the heat.
3. Leave it to cool down, then pour the mixture in the blender. Mix it for a few minutes then put it back in the bowl on the stove.
4. Add the rest of the chicken broth, starch, milk, salt and pepper to the mixture.
5. Leave the soup on the stove until it boils once more.
Main Dish
Beef Fajita Recipe
What you will need:
1 kilo of beef (sliced)
1 cup of colored peppers (sliced)
4 Tbsp of oil
1 big onion (cut into rings)
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp cilantro
3 Tbsp of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar
1 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1/2 tsp of chili powder
Steps:
1. Start by heating up two spoons of oil in a cooking bowl, then add the slices of beet. Stir for five minutes, until beef is half cooked.
2. In another bowl, heat up the rest of the oil and add the onions and colored peppers to it. Stir for a few minutes, then add the half cooked beef to the bowl.
3. Add the salt, pepper and herbs. Continue to stir for 10 minutes, until beef is fully cooked.
4. Add the lemon (or balsamic vinegar) to the beef, and stir for a few more minutes. Once the vinegar or lemon is absorbed, remove from the stove.
4. Serve the fajita with tortilla bread and pickled cucumbers.
