Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe + Mulukhia Recipe + Dried Fruits and Nuts Recipe

Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

Main Dish:
Mulukhia Recipe
What you'll need:
1 pack frozen mulukhia (finely chopped)
2 cups chicken stock
8 garlic cloves (minced)
1/4 Tsp salt
1 Tsp ground coriander
1 Tbsp butter
1/2 onion (diced)
4 Tbsp red vinegar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Steps:
1. Start by leaving the mulukhia pack to defrost for an hour.
2. Pour the chicken stock to a cooking pan, and leave to boil on medium heat.
3. Add the mulukhia to the chicken stock, stir, and leave it on low heat until it starts boiling.
4. In a saucepan, prepare the taqlia by melting the butter, then adding the garlic, salt and coriander. Leave for a couple of minutes until they turn golden.
5. It's time to add the taqlia to the mulukhia, stir to make sure that it's evenly distributed.
6. In a small bowl, prepare the topping. Mix the diced onions, vinegar and lemon juice.
7. Serve the mulukhia with white rice and fried chicken, and top with the dressing as per your desire.
Dessert:
Dried Fruits and Nuts Crepe
What you will need:
4 eggs
1 cup of water
1 cup of milk
2 cups of flour
200 grams butter
1 Tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp sugar
8 Tbsp honey or caramel sauce
1 cup dried fruits mix (dates, raisins, apricots, plum, coconut flakes)
Nuts (your choice of toasted almonds, pistachios, or walnuts)
Steps:
1. Let's start off by preparing the batter for the crepe. Mix the eggs, water, and milk in a bowl first. Once they are fully mixed, and bubbles form, add the flour and 100 grams of melted butter. Mix thoroughly until batter is creamy and has a beige color.
2. Melt one tablespoon of butter in a pan and spread it all around.
3. Using a ladle, fill it with batter and pour it evenly onto the pan. Cook it for a few minutes on low heat and be sure to flip it.
4. Repeat until all the crepes are done, assemble them on a flat surface.
5. In a saucepan, add two tablespoons of butter, sugar and the dried fruits mix. Stir for a couple of minutes on medium heat and then set aside.
6. Now it's time to fill up the crepes. Using a spoon, fill up each crepe with the softened dried fruits mix and then fold it neatly.
7. Once they are all rolled, place them next to each other in a serving dish.
8. Serve the crepe with honey drizzled on top and then sprinkle your choice of nuts.
