Makeup tutorials are everywhere on social media now, and they actually tend to make us feel like we need tons of pricey high-end brands to achieve the glam we see online. The truth is, you don't really need a ton of products. Sometimes a full makeup look could be achieved by only 3 products. For instance, lipsticks could be used as creamy blushes, concealers could be used for brightening lipstick shades, and so on...
From the same scope, today we're going to tell you how your eye shadow alone can replace 5 of the makeup products which a lot of makeup bloggers make us feel guilty for not buying! Keep reading if you need to know more:
1. Bronzer
Warm brown eye shadow tones that have tints of orange in them act perfectly as bronzers. All you need is your eye shadow and a brush. It would be even more glamorous if your eye shadow had a bit of metallic/shimmery hues in it. That would definitely double the glam!
2. Contour
If you're not a makeup person who just has the main essentials, you probably own a brown eye shadow. Just make sure it's a brown shade that has a tint of grey not red. Well, this could be the substitute for a powder contour! Just apply a little product carefully on your contour brush, and with the same technique of contouring, the job will be done!
3. Brow Definer
No brow pen? No problem, use your eye shadow instead. First, apply very little amount of primer on your eye brows then pick an eye shadow that is the closest to your brow color. Grab the most precise makeup brush you have, then use the shadow to fill in your brows. Make sure to tap your brush gently before you start applying the shadow. This way, you will remove any excess product that might cause any mess. Remember to just 'fill' the spaces in your brows rather than coming up with a whole new brow shape.
4. Highlighter
Any white, golden, powder pink eye shadow shades with a touch of metallic/shimmer in it will work. You probably know that they work perfectly on the brow bones and inner corners of the eyes. However, they can actually give the same effect of highlighters when carefully applied on the cheek bones. Try it and thank us later!
5. Lipstick Mattifier
If you have your favorite lipstick shade but you're dying to make it matte, then your solution is one sentence away! It's very simple, just get a shade of eye shadow that is so close to this lipstick or at least of the same hue, apply gently on your lips by tapping using your fingers with a very little amount of product. In case you couldn't find a close shade, just use a neutral one (white/beige) and gently put a tissue on your lips then tap this bright shadow upon them.
