What struck me most about these women is how they proceeded with their lives after being diagnosed. No they did not disappear and let the fear engulf them, instead we watched them on the big screen, watch reruns of their old episodes, and sometimes even wore their designs.
1. Cynithia Nixon
You probably know her as Miranda from Sex and the City. She was diagnosed in 2006 and managed to beat the disease and now is the Ambassador of the world's largest organization, 'Susan G. Komen.'

Christina Applegate will always be Rachel's crazy sister from Friends. However to many others she is a breast cancer survivor who has had a double mastectomy and is the ambassador for Lee National Denim Day, a fundraiser for breast cancer that takes place every October.
3. Sheryl Crow
This fabulous country singer is also a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed around eight years ago and has undergone a lumpectomy. She is still up on stage singing her heart out and is going on tour this October.
4. Giuliana Rancic
This Enews host and Fashion Police critic, was diagnosed a year before her son was born. She underwent a lumpectomy, a double mastectomy and won the battle against breast cancer. You can see her covering the Golden Globes, Emmy's and many other hot red carpet moments.
5. Betsey Johnson
Quirky fashion designer Betsey Johnson, you know the lady who you often see cartwheeling onto the catwalk, is also a breast cancer survivor. She underwent a lumpectomy and radiation and can safely say that she is officially cancer-free.

The famous superstar was diagnosed with breast cancer around 10 years ago. We all watched her publicly appear with her head shaved more beautiful than ever, fight and win the battle against breast cancer. She is currently one of the judges on The Voice Australia.
