Are you tired from your usual red sauce pasta? Try out the this delightful creamy pasta pesto recipe for a change.
What you will need:
400 Grams of pasta
3/4 Cups of basil leaves
1/2 Cup of mashed Parmesan cheese
1/3 Cup of olive oil
1/2 Heavy cream
2 Cloves of peeled garlic
3 Tablespoons of pine nuts
2 Tablespoons of butter
2 Tomatoes (Diced)
Salt and pepper
Steps:
1. Boil the pasta until well cooked, drain and leave aside.
2. Mix basil leaves, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, garlic and a pinch of salt and pepper in the blender. During the blending process pour in the olive oil. Blend well and set it aside.
3. In a medium saucepan, heat the butter along with the heavy cream on medium temperature. Add the previous mixture (pesto sauce) to the saucepan and stir thoroughly.
4. Put the pasta in a big serving bowl and then add the pesto cream on top. Add diced tomatoes, toss all together and bonne appetit!
