Six Skincare Tips for Long Flights

Ever wanted to reach your destination after a long flight looking so fresh? Yes, it's possible. Here are six skincare tips for long flights, that will help you look and feel refreshed. From skipping makeup to the travel-sized products you need to have in your handbag, check out the following skincare tips for long flights.

1. Exfoliate.

You should actually start your travel skincare routine the night before your long flight. Make sure you exfoliate your skin with a gentle scrub, to make sure you get rid of dead skin and feel fresh.

2. Don't wear too much makeup.

If you don’t like to go barefaced to the airport, make sure you are only wearing minimal makeup, like a BB cream or tinted moisturizer along with a dab of lipstick. This one of the skincare tips you should consider for long flights, because having minimal makeup makes it easier to re-apply before landing; it won’t take so much time or effort.

3. Use makeup remover wipes.

Just in case, keep a pack of travel-friendly makeup remover wipes in your handbag or carry-on. Those little wipes are skin savers, so if you fell asleep, you can refresh your face using them, and you can easily do makeup touch-ups.

4. Fight puffy eyes.

In order to avoid puffy eyes while you're up in the air, here's a skincare tip for long flights. Start by asking the flight attendant for ice cubes, and use a napkin to apply beneath your eyes for a couple of minutes. Afterwards, use your eye cream to hydrate and moisture.

5. Don't forget your lip balm, face mist and hand cream.

Another essential skincare tip for a long flights, is to re-apply lip balm regularly to make sure you won’t get dry lips. You should also apply a face mist to keep your face fresh and hydrated, and of course don't forget your hand cream to moisturize and protect your hands.

6. Drink loads of water.

Last but not least, the most important skincare tip for long flights is to drink loads of water. A good amount of water will keep you hydrated, as staying for long hours in an enclosed space tends to dehydrate your skin. Try to skip coffee and soda drinks, as they tend to dehydrate your body.
