I always looked up at working women in movies, but thought their very chic work-wear look cannot be achieved. But I was wrong; you don’t need an Hermes bag and Christian Louboutin stilettos to have an unbeatable style when heading to a work meeting. These nine items will make you achieve the trendy office look you always wanted.
1. Pointed shoes.
For a trendy office look, every woman needs pointed pumps and flats. Whatever you throw on in the morning, pointed pumps or flats will make your look fancy. Pointed shoes make you look slimmer and taller.
2. Black Pants.
Every working woman must own a pair of black pants. They're a life saver! When you buy one, make sure you buy a fit that would go perfectly with your body shape. The length is also very important; you either wear cropped black pants or flared black pants. The right fit enhances your look 100%, while a bad fit can make you look sloppy.
3. High waist flare pants.
Throw on a white blouse, tuck it in the high waist flared pants, wear your favorite stilettos and grab your bag and you’re ready to attend that meeting gracefully. Certainly a trendy office look that you can easily get.
4. Long blazers.
I love blazers, but long blazers kind of grew on me lately. They’re like a coat but lighter, and they’re perfect for the fall and even during winter in closed areas, where you don’t want to walk around wearing a heavy coat. They’d perfectly go with skinny pants, a simple white shirt and slip-on sneakers or loafers. You can always change into heels whenever you want, it would even look greater.
5. Black or white slip-on sneakers.
They’re perfect for everything, and I find them very suitable for workplace, as they’re very comfy. I suggest you wear black or white slip-on sneakers if you want to stick to the safe side at work.
6. Over-sized shirt dress.
I find shirt dresses quite useful for a trendy office look. Perfect for the days you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, but you still need to look good for a meeting. They hide imperfections, they’re comfortable, and eventually they look sophisticated with the right pair of heels and the right handbag.
7. Midi skirts.
In case you haven’t noticed, women are going back to their roots, their feminine roots. Whether it’s a tight midi skirt or an A-line midi skirt, you’ll look like a classy working woman. For tall women, midi skirts look great with slip-on sneakers and sneakers in general. For shorter girls, it’s better to wear them with heels and stilettos; it will make you look taller and slimmer.
8. Culotte pants.
Culotte pants are so in this year. They’re great for the hyper active woman who wants to look chic in a practical way. It’s not a skirt and it's not a pair of shorts either, so you can sport them safely everywhere you want to go.
9. Jumpsuits.
The jumpsuit is one of the items that every woman’s wardrobe should have. When in doubt, wear a jumpsuit. It’s an easy choice, it looks pretty and it flatters most body shapes if worn in the right cut.
