A bride already has so much on her mind so, struggling to find her dream wedding gown just adds to the pressure.
With looking through New York Bridal Fashion Week Spring Summer 2020 collection, we could only think of how much this would help a bride looking for wedding dress inspirations. She would look at a dress and say, "Yes, that's exactly what I've been looking for." That's the first step done. Now it's time to do a little more research and try out dresses with the same idea that got your heart beating. To help you out a bit more, let's dissect some of the latest bridal trends we saw on the runway, so you could keep them in mind while shopping.
Flowers take over the runway
Flowers embellished and adorned wedding gowns in an enchanting way on the runway. Brands like Lela Rose and Mira Zwillinger really incorporated flowers in their designs. Even some veils were embellished with flowers in an elegant non traditional technique.
Wedding dresses for curvy brides
Brands like Theia made stunning wedding gowns for curvy girls that are a lot more unique than what we're used to seeing. Theia's runway also presented a skirt-top combo that really grabbed our attention.
Bridal cape trend
If you're looking for a classic bridal look, you're in luck because bridal capes are in trend and they're looking better than ever. This trend is great for those of you who love tulle and want to have something cover their shoulders. The capes were presented in more than one way; as an extension of the veil, sheer and flowy or opaque and structured with the perfect drape for a royal hand placement.
Tassels and feathers
Your wedding gown can be customized and unique with additions of detail that make it special and non-traditional. You can try something bold and daring like a dress with feather or tassel detailing that would look stunning in pictures and incredible on the dance floor. A lot of designers showcased feathers and tassels at New York bridal fashion week, among them Oscar de la Renta with a tasseled wedding dress. As well as Jenny Packham with a dreamy, delicate feathered wedding gown.
Colored wedding dresses
Colored wedding dresses are still trending for summer 2020. Reem Acra was among the designers who really presented a unique and innovative collection of colored gowns, with even a colored veil to go with it. We saw shades of rose, beige, silver for every type of bride out there.
