During one of our Instagram takeovers, the talented food blogger and chef, Najoud blessed us with Hummus Recipes that are so easy, quick and perfect for quick weekday snacks. Everyone loves Hummus, but sometimes it can be too boring to spread on a toast alone, so how about giving it a little flavor. Avocado Hummus
Ingredients:
- 250 grams of hummus
- 1 Avocado
- 1 tsp of chili flakes
- 1/2 cup of coriander
- 1/2 Tbsp of lime
- 2 Tbsp of olive oil
- 1/2 tomato, diced
- Salt
Steps:
1. Mash or blend hummus, avocado, chili flakes, coriander, lime & salt (according to preference).
2. Adjust according to your desired taste and garnish with olive oil, tomato, coriander & chili flakes
3. Serve as a dip or spread the hummus on toast.
Beetroot Hummus
Ingredients:
- 250 grams of hummus
- 200g of mashed beetroot
- 1/2 Tbsp lemon
- 2 garlic cloves, mashed
- 1 tsp of paprika
- 2 Tbsp of olive oil
- Salt
For garnish
- 50 grams of diced beetroot
- 1 tsp of sesame seeds
- 1 tsp of dried mint
Steps:
1. Blend the hummus, chickpeas, beetroot, lemon, garlic, paprika and salt untill it's smooth.
2. Adjust according to your desired taste. Garnish with the olive oil, diced beetroot, sesame seeds and peppermint.
