Dubai's Modest Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2019 was filled with modern takes on hijab fashion, a lot of detailed looks and beautiful interpretations of the latest fashion trends to modern modest wear. A big number of designers, from all across the world, took part in 2019's Modest Fashion Week. We saw shows from Indonesian, Indian, Emirati, Turkish designers and more...
Modern Abayas
We saw abayas open in the front for a modern look with feathers for a feminine look. There were also oversized abayas embellished with simple floral patterns. Plaid abayas also made an appearance that we loved and plaid is one of this year's biggest trends. There were also abayas with ruffles designed in a non-traditional way that we haven't seen before.
Modest Wear of the Latest Fashion Trends
This year, the abayas were designed with features from the latest fashion trends of 2019. Like; pleated skirts, overskirts for evening dresses, flowy dresses paired with caps and coats for a chic, elegant look.
Bright Eye-Catching Colors
Colors ranged from beiges, grey and champagne to fuchsias and greens. As for the materials, there was chiffon, silk, satin, cotton and crêpe.
Diverse, Different Hijab Wraps
The hijab itself was also presented in unique modern ways, among them was the turban, embellished with the same patterns or details as the clothes. Big turban designs were also seen on the runway, but we've also seen it grow a lot of popularity this year with hijabis and hijab bloggers. The traditional hijab wrap was also present along with long traditional veils made of chiffon.
