If you happen to live in Egypt, then I'm sure you're being faced with daily power cuts. Morning or night, the electricity just cuts off several times per day unexpectedly. When the electricity is cut off, suddenly we all go into the 'I have nothing to wear' mood, or just get the urge to wear that creased top and put on a certain pair of jeans that we can't seem to remember its place. Next time you have to get ready when the electricity is cut off, just chill and remember that you're not in this alone! Let go of your anger and follow our tips to get ready when electricity is cut off.

- Pick out your work clothes the night before, so if you wake up and there's no electricity, you won't have to spend extra time to figure out what you'll wear.
- If you have a special occasion, make sure to have your outfit ready a day before. Steam your dress beforehand, pick your underwear, lay out your shoes, clutch and accessories!
- Always keep a torch light on hand, to help you make your way and get dressed in the dark.
- You can also use the torch light on your smart phone, and be ready to have your phone charged as the torch light drains the battery fast.
- Wear your high heels at your door step, that way you'll avoid tripping over furniture and hurting yourself.
- In case you'll be taking the stairs at your building, head out home wearing ballerina flats and then put on your high heels when you reach your car.
- Planning to take a shower and then blow dry your hair before you head out? Don't leave things to the last minute! While you might be able to take a quick shower and light up the bathroom using candles, you don't really want to go out with wet hair.
- Worst-case scenario, put your wet hair up in a bun and make sure to apply a small amount of hair serum or leave-in conditioner.
- If you had to blow dry your hair and the power was cut off at home, head to the nearest hair salon and don't waste your time waiting. Tip: It is advisable to go to a hair salon that exists in a hotel or a shopping mall, as they usually have generators and you won't be faced with any power cut issues.
- Always go with a super simple makeup look if you're getting ready during a power cut!
- Don't apply any foundation, concealer, eyeshadow or eyeliner, to avoid bad results. If you're heading to work or a casual outing, just put on tinted moisturizer, mascara and tinted lip balm with the aid of your torch light.
- If you had to do a full makeup look during power outage, make sure you have good lighting and always (always!) check the results in natural lighting as soon as you head out. Keep your makeup bag, along with a cotton pad and makeup remover in case you wanted to fix anything that went wrong.
