Throughout the next few days we'll be talking about some of the best collections, the best bridal looks from PFW and the Spring summer 2020 runway looks that are perfect for Hijabis.
For now we want to focus on the spring summer 2020 trends from Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. So far, the collections have been so inspiring and beautiful. So, let's take you on a tour so you can get to know the highlights of Paris Fashion Week so far...
Colors Trends from Paris Spring Summer 2020 Couture Fashion Week
Color is always what captures my attention the most. I think they're playing a very important part this Paris Fashion Week, even though they may seem subtler in brightness than the previous fashion weeks...
For example, pastel colors dominated most of George Hobeika and Tony Ward's collections, while Ralph & Russo and Georges Chakra's runway witnessed a huge diversity between pastels, bright and dark colors as well. Metallics were present in most looks at Dior.
Satin Trend for Spring Summer 2020
We saw it dominate the SAG Awards red carpet and it continues to gain a lot of popularity. The glistening fabric looks beautiful and catches the light on luxurious evening gowns. A lot of the designers chose the fabric for their designs, from a glossy or matte to light and thicker fabrics of satin.
Chiffon and Tulle at Paris Fashion Week for Spring Summer 2020
Chiffon and tulle are timeless and we will always find them on gowns and wedding dresses, for most evening wear is highly dependent on them. They were most seen at the collections of Georges Hobeika, Dior and Tony Ward.
The Cape is still going strong for 2020
The cape trend was really prominent for this fall and winter. It's still continuing its journey to spring and summer. We saw capes at Ralph & Russo, George Hobeika and Dior during this Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris. We think this trend is going to be with us for a while...
Ruffles, Fringes and multi-layered pieces at Paris Fashion Week
Ruffles and ripples are a smart way to add volume and luxury to a dress. The use of ruffles and multiple layers in a dress has been very popular especially for red carpet looks. There were also some gorgeous metallic fringes at Dior.
There's something for everyone...
What also caught my attention was that in the past couple of years designers have been really embracing diversity in taste as well. The collections seem to vary and offer different styles for different people and different tastes. If you love simple minimal looks, you'll find your inspiration on the runway, but if you loves 80s trends with loud colors and dramatic pieces you will also find your favorites there.
