If you’re a makeup lover, you probably have your own go-to products that you constantly use and carry around in your bag. Some of them may be quite pricey, but you still love them because they either get the job done perfectly or you’re just used to them and don’t want to risk trying new ones. But is high-end makeup really worth that money? And is it really better than drugstore products?

While big makeup companies claim that their products have high-quality ingredients, it is not uncommon to see great affordable dupes for them. That’s why we want to show you some high-end makeup products and their drugstore dupes that have the same effect but at a lower price.

How to Apply Leg Makeup for Sexy Legs

N.B

All the prices are subject to change and the following are approximate prices.

Primer (Bobby Brown vs Sheglam)

A Full Face of Makeup That Is Less Than 1000 EGP

Before you start applying any product on your face, you need to prime. We said it and we’ll say it once again; not to prime is a crime! So, for the high-end product, we have Bobby Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, which is 1030 EGP and for its dupe, we have Sheglam Birthday Skin Primer, which is 115 EGP. Both products help hide the pores and make your makeup look flawless.

Foundation (Laura Mercier vs L'Oréal Paris)

For the foundation, we have Laura Mercier flawless fusion ultra-wear foundation as the high-end product and it costs 920 EGP. For the dupe, we have L’oreal Paris infallible 24-hour fresh wear foundation, which costs 290 EGP. Both products are high coverage and matte.

Concealer (Laura Mercier vs L’oreal Paris)

There are plenty of great pricey concealers out there on the market, but we’ll use the Laura Mercier concealer as an example, which costs 555 EGP. We have three options for the drugstore products, but the most recommended one is L’oreal Paris Infallible More Than Concealer, which is 250 EGP because it’s super full coverage. The second drugstore concealer is the Maybelline Instant Eraser concealer and that works perfectly as a day concealer. The third option is NYX professional makeup and it is also full coverage.

Contour (NARS vs Maybelline)

To shape your face and get more bone structure, it is time to contour. For the high-end contour stick, we have NARS Sunkissed Bronzing Cream that costs 725 EGP and for its dupe, we have the Maybelline Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick, which costs 190 EGP. Both products are pigmented and have the same effect.

Loose Powder (Huda Beauty vs Maybelline)

The Huda Beauty powder is truly amazing. It’s good for baking and making all the liquid products stay in place. If you’re looking for a dupe with a similar effect, Maybelline Fit Me loose powder is also great. Huda Beauty’s powder is 800 EGP, while Maybelline’s powder is approximately 300 EGP.

Compact Powder (Mac vs Maybelline)

To set your makeup in place you need a good compact powder. Every beauty guru knows how good Mac compact powder is, which costs 850 EGP. However, they also recommend Maybelline Fit Me compact powder as its dupe, which costs 250 EGP.

Brows (Huda Beauty vs Flormar)

To draw and shape your eyebrows, you need a good product that matches your brows’ hair color and applies perfectly to them. For the high-end, we have Huda Beauty Bomb Brows, which costs 500 EGP, while we have Flormar Angled Brow Pencil as its dupe, which costs 230 EGP. You can also reach for other drugstore brow brands like Sheglam, which is also a great-quality product.

Eyeshadow (NARS vs Rimmel London)

The shades in these two eyeshadow palettes are almost identical, but their prices vary a great deal. NARS Summer Solstice, being the high-end product, costs 940 EGP, while Rimmel London Magnif’Eyes Spice Edition costs 175 EGP. Both eyeshadow palettes are crazy pigmented and gorgeous.

Eyeliner (Kiko Milano vs Sheglam)

While Kiko Milano isn’t the most expensive eyeliner out there, it’s one of the best because of its sharpness and great application. The Kiko Milano Dolce Diva Waterproof Eye Marker costs 155 EGP, while its dupe Sheglam Wing It Waterproof Liner Duo is 80 EGP.

Mascara (Too Faced vs L'Oréal)

Everyone knows the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara for its awesome effect on the lashes. This mascara is 780 EGP, which is quite expensive. For the dupe, we have L’oreal Paris Voluminous Paradise mascara, which costs 240 EGP. Both mascaras have the same effect and are just awesome.

Bronzer (Hoola Benefit vs Amanda)

To add color to your face, using a bronzer is essential. Hoola bronzer from Benefit Cosmetics is one of the best on the market and it costs 800 EGP, while its dupe from Amanda is actually a blush, but it’s in the same shade as the Hoola bronzer and it costs around 80 EGP.

Blush (Laura Mercier vs Sheglam)

Laura Mercier Blush Color Infusion is a great product that costs 620 EGP, while its dupe from Sheglam costs 120 EGP. The latter is a creamy blush, but the result is the same as the Laura Mercier blush.

Highlighter (Ofra vs Wet N Wild)

Ofra is one of the most well-known high-end brands and their highlighter is 800 EGP. The dupe for this product is the Wet N Wild highlighter that makes a perfect alternative for Ofra’s and its price is 300 EGP.

Lipstick (NARS vs Maybelline)

As for the lips, the high-end lipstick is NARS Cosmetics and costs 700 EGP, while the dupe is Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipstick, which costs 120 EGP. The two products have the same finish and you can find similar shades in both brands.
